Mailchimp Markup

While trying to sign up for a pre-launch newsletter hosted on Mailchimp, I noticed the default android keyboard came up, and it capitalized the first letter. This seemed strange, so I sent it to my iPad, and it was the same there.

I understand that it must be hard to write code that runs in any scenario. But at the same time, this is why we have standards. I can’t wrap my head around why the biggest most popular email newsletter service fails to deliver proper markup.
